March 2014 Book Club

I can’t remember who picked our March book, I believe it was Colleen, but I have to say in hindsight it was a very good choice to follow our last months read,  The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt. After struggling with the lengthy novel it was really nice to have a easy, light, page turner.  For March we read The Husband’s Secret by Liane Moriarty.

Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty

The Husband’s Secret is about three women facing challenging personal situations.  The book goes back and forth between them and while none of them are good friends, they are all in the same circle in the community.  I hesitate to say too much and give away the story as I enjoyed starting it with no knowledge of the characters or anything besides the title to intrigue me.  Our whole book club loved it and it was a really good discussion.  There are lots of topics to think about and digest, and the ending was my favorite part.
