Setting the Table: Red, White and Blue

Happy Long Weekend!  We have been busy cleaning off the pollen and those little brown seed twiggy things from the trees that fall all over our deck. It sure does take a lot of work to get ready for Summer…blowing the deck ,washing the railings, scrubbing down the table and chairs and then we power wash everything else.  Once it is dry and clean, I bring out the lanterns, cushions, plant herbs and flowers in my pots and then hope we have enough energy to make dinner to eat on our clean table! For Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day, I have to pull out the red, white and blue for my table. As you know from reading this blog, nothing gets me more excited than setting the table around a theme (see here and here). I started to look for some new items to use this year and found so many I thought I would share them with you.  I love the white rattan chargers and can see using them all Summer long with all different color table linens.  The rope tea lights are  perfect with any decor and could be a really nice hostess present. I also really like these white melamine plates ,this oval tray, this crab napkin box and these napkins.  Happy shopping and I hope you are enjoying your Memorial Day Weekend!
