Cropped Flared Jeans

I am looking for a pair of cropped flared jeans that I can wear with heels and flats. It looks fresh and new to me, a departure from the skinny tight leg I have been wearing of late. I think the length is really important when the hem is flared. I tried to find ones that were cropped just above the ankle because I think any shorter can look like an 80’s capri and I am not going back there (here is an example of what I do not want).  I am also looking for ones with a small flare, almost an exaggerated boot cut, that gets gradually wider as the pant leg goes from knee to hem (here is an example of the flare I do not want). I think that is a better proportion on the leg and works well with a heel and a flat.  I am leaning toward a pair that has a raw edge and white for Summer… What do you think?  Is this going to be your new look too?

  1. Love this post!!! Which ones should I buy? I want denim and white!

  2. Jen Reese says:

Love it with the raw edge. White or blue denim. Inspiring me to go jean shopping too. I’m tired of my skinny jeans too

  3. Hi, Ridge! I have #1 and love them. They do stretch out a lot when worn, so if you pick that one, you may want to order one size down.

  4. I have the J Brand #4 in two colors – love them!
