Chicest Carry-On Case

I have the chicest carry-on case…ever!  My husband gave me the Corroon rolling pullman carry-on case for my birthday and I have used it several times.  I love all things blue and this bag is not only the most beautiful color blue, but it is the chicest piece of luggage I own. I can’t tell you how happy the logo fabric lining makes me when I open the bag! The pictures are deceiving because it looks like a large bag but, in actuality, it is a true carry-on and fits in the overhead compartment.  The size is perfect for a weekend or overnight depending on how you like to pack. I actually used it as my rolling office and filled it with two laptops, notebooks, cords and all my camera gear (I have a lot of equipment!).  You may have seen me feature it on my Instagram and, if you missed it, check out the feature I did on the dopp kit,…which reminds me, it would be a really nice Valentine’s Day present for the man in your life!

What do I Bring to a Super Bowl Party?

Every year I think, what do I bring to a Super Bowl party?  I am usually in the city working for Fashion Week and can’t make something, so I end up buying something on the fly.  This year, I am buying everything from Mouth, a really cool website dedicated to food made by people, not companies, in small batches. They call it Indie Food – Indie food is not only delicious, but must be created from start to finish with a high level of personal attention, craft and passion. This is my kind of food!

And don’t miss their Valentine’s Selections , the Indie Oscars or their partnership with Feed.  There is a whole section called Snackology 101 aka carepackages.. now that is a brilliant idea!

For all those times you are at a loss of what to send or bring, Mouth will have just the batch you are looking for  and wait until you see their packaging.. you know I am a sucker for packaging!!!

Fondue for New Years Eve

We have enjoyed many New Years Eve’s going out to a restaurant but, some of our most memorable celebrations have been at our, or our friends’, home eating fondue – we start with cheese and then have chocolate for dessert. There is something fun about dipping our long forks into the cheese with big chunks of bread and apple slices. I take huge rolls of craft paper, lay them over the table, and scatter cups of crayons for anyone who wants to leave a resolution or make a doodle.  The rest of the table is filled with the fondue pots and dishes of items to dip into the cheese and then chocolate.   I am sharing our favorite cheese fondue recipe that is a hit with all ages.  We separate out a portion, both the cheese and chocolate, for our son with Celiac Disease so that he can have his own Gluten Free pots.  He has his own sides and can enjoy it as much as everyone else without worrying about cross contamination.  It is such an easy meal and so much fun to eat… what do you serve for New Years Eve??

What I want to be wearing..

This weekend I was scrounging around my wardrobe for something “Festive” to wear to a Holiday party and I really wanted a pair of sparkly, patterned or plaid pants to wear with a white silk blouse and my new L.K. Bennett flats (below) or a red suede pump for a pop of color.   I saw the pants all over the place last year and did not buy them. Now when I want them I can’t find them!  Ugh! So I went on the hunt and found a few (on sale!) on The Outnet.  Now if I could get them for this coming weekend…
