Classic Shapes that Never Go Out of Style

It is time I took the plunge and just bought that Saddle Bag that has been on my list forever!  The problem is, I cant decide which color.  I really am a blue girl, but the grey and ivory are also calling my name. The price is right and it is a classic that will never go out of style, plus I can get it monogrammed!  I am torn because I really like the Dinky Shoulder Bag with the chain / leather strap and the flower appliques. Ahhhh… and to add more issues the Edie Shoulder Bag is a good everyday size.  What do you like best?

Ridgely Brode just can't decide which classic shape she wants to get on her blog Ridgely's Radar, they are all good and never go out of style.

My Transition Uniform

If you in the North East like I do, you know this is one of the hardest times of year to get dressed because the mornings can be freezing and the afternoons sweltering hot, especially if you are over dressed for the early morning low temps.  It find myself layering up and down as the day goes on.  When I swapped out my Summer clothes this weekend and brought in my more three season weight clothes, I saw how many of the same things I have. I have tons of blazers and barely any sweaters.  On the days I don’t have any important meetings, I wear a tank or t-shirt (I like the Old Navy fitted ribbed tanks and crew necks) and a blazer with pants or jeans depending on what I am doing. Right now have I been wearing this Classic Navy Jacket, it is the perfect weight and I love being able to wear it as is or change in and out different dickeys. It is my transition uniform that gets me from Summer to Fall with lots of options! On the weekends, to be hands free and carry the bare minimum essentials, I use this cross body bag that converts to a clutch when you take the straps off.  I fell in love with the color and it is just the right size.  I finally finished The Woman in Cabin 10  – so be sure to check back later this week for my review!

Perfect Outfit for a Summer Weekend

With the weather this past week hovering in the high 90’s it has been very difficult to find something to wear that is cool, comfortable and doesn’t look like a rumpled mess in the heat. I want to wear this loose, lightweight Cotton Voile Caftan over white linen shorts with neutral accessories and this fabulously chic WeWood Watch.  It looks like it would be the perfect outfit for a hot Summer weekend.  What do you think?

Look-alikes: Crossbody

I have had my eye on the Drew for some time (see here)  and as you can see, I am on a first name basis with this bag. It is so chic and just the right size. I love that is a crossbody and it comes in so many great colors. But alas, it still has alluded me.  I am keeping it on my wish list and until I can take the plunge, there are many similar sized bags that also come in a rainbow of colors that are perfect for carrying my lipstick and phone…

The Drew

I am totally obsessing over Chloé’s ‘Drew’ shoulder bag.  I love the size, shape and the gorgeous colors it comes in.  It also comes in a mini size, but then I would have to abandon everything I own and only carry my phone and a credit card… that might be too extreme for my day-to-day life but perfect for an evening out.  Decisions.. decisions..
