Lisa Duffy and I organized a dinner so that she could teach me how to grill pizzas. It was the perfect opportunity to have a ladies night and turn it into a blog post! (Little did we know we would be using our grill every night since Hurricane Irene came to visit and it doesn’t look like we will be cooking inside anytime soon.) This is the perfect recipe to add to you grilling repertoire..a.k.a hurricane cuisine!
Anyways, with the menu set and the guests about to arrive, we got to work. I set the table and Lisa fired up the grill.
We made three different pizzas:
1. Margarita – tomato sauce (we used our favorite jar brand), fresh mozzarella (you could even use shredded in the bag), and fresh basil
2. Fig jam, gorgonzola dolce(clumps) and prosciutto – heat the jam slightly to make it easier to spread and put the prosciutto on after it is cooked and melted.
3. Fontina, fennel & caramelized onions – recipe from Everday Food.
