I recently received and email from a reader, Susan, who wanted to get my thoughts on what she should wear over a sundress or sleeveless blouse on the chilly evenings while vacationing in Santa Fe, New Mexico. First off, I love hearing from my readers and secondly, I love a wardrobe challenge. Not knowing any other details, I gave Susan three options. My first thought was my current obsession, the White + Warren Travel Wrap. It is the perfect scarf and/or wrap for pretty much any outfit, but I think for her trip local it may be too fussy and, not knowing her budget, it is expensive. I offered up a Banana Republic white shawl cardigan that could work with many clothing styles, but could be to metropolitan for the desert. My third and favorite choice was a white denim jacket. When I was doing a search for the jacket I came up with so many brands making the staple piece and sent Susan a link to the J. Crew one that was on sale and now no longer available. So below are two great alternatives, depending on your budget, and I am going to pick up the one from Gap!
Susan went with the J. Crew jacket and I am waiting to hear how it worked for her on her trip. If you have any wardrobe or styling questions, please send them my way, I would love to see if I can help!
