Do you read mysteries? I do! I have been a huge fan of several (ok.. lets be honest – MANY) mystery/ detective series and can’t wait for each new book to be released. I get excited to find out what my favorite characters are up to and what is going to happen next!
I am excited for these 6 new books in a mystery series!
It started with Agatha Christie and then I kept going. One of the first series I fell in love with was Sue Grafton’s Alphabet Series, I was always ready to dive in to each new book and see how Kinsey Millhone was going to get herself out of trouble. Then there were the Robert Ludlum’s Jason Bourne, Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum series and of course, Dan Brown’s Robert Langdon. I also love all the light fun mysteries from authors like Joanne Fluke and Diane Mott Davidson.. How can you resist all the murders caterer, Goldy Shulz, gets herself involved with??
Remember when you could walk the aisles of Barnes and Noble?? I would go straight to the mystery section and collect a new book in every series that caught my eye. And today is no different, I keep an eye out for all the new releases.
I just finished Louise Penny’s Kingdom of the Blind (#14 in the series) and am ready to read her latest book A Better Man (#15). If you haven’t read her books and you love a detective series – you will fall in love with Chief Inspector Gamache and his colorful friends, colleagues and family. Not to be missed.
I am really excited to get Robert Galbraith, Lethal White. It came out last year in hard cover and in paperback in June. I can’t believe I missed this one last year! I could not put down the first 3 Detective Cormoran Strike’s books and am psyched to catch up with Strike! I posted reviews on the earlier books, here and here.
Did you read The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series? They were so dark and twisted, but really good. I only read the original 3 in the series and when the author, Stieg Larsson, died I never followed up with the additional books written by David Lagercrantz. I am wondering if I am ready to dive back in??
Those are just a few highlights of the 6 books I listed here but I have them all on my list!
Who are your favorites? Do you have any series you love that I haven’t mentioned that you think I would like? Please let me know! I am always looking!
