Dish Drying Rack

I realized over the weekend, after countless rounds of washing dishes that our drying rack had seen better days. It, like our TV, dates back to when we bought our house and it has served us well. I am going to let you into a little secret, I can obsess over small purchases just as much as the big ones, especially when it comes to replacing a household item that is front and center in our kitchen, where it gets seen and used day in / day out. I really would like the exact same thing we currently have but, it is not available anymore. So I went to Amazon to search down the next best thing. Turns out for such a basic, utilitarian product there are many options to choose from. Did you know that you can get double decker dish racks or ones with more options than a car? I just want a simple shallow rack with a place for utensils that can hold pots, pans and the occasional dish or glass. I would like it to come with a mat that drains into the sink and have the least amount of moving parts. I am holding out for Amazon’s Prime Day (July 12th!!) to see if it and a whole heap of other things I have waiting in my shopping cart will be part of their sale….
