I have been using a large zip around wallet, similar to this one, for a long, long time and when I started to think about downsizing what I lug around every day, see this post, I realized my wallet needs to be downsized. It is filled with all kinds of receipts, business cards, and way too many coins that I could barely zip it up. I just cleaned it out and I don’t need all the pockets that were just making it easier for me to hold on to things I don’t need or should file away at my home desk. Besides, the amount of coins was ridiculous and reduced the weight tremendously!
On a recent trip looking for a smaller lighter bag, I tried stuffing my large, overflowing wallet and my few non-negotiable essentials (keys, eyeglasses, sunglasses, lipgloss and phone) into the bags that caught my eye and it was nearly impossible to make it all fit. That was another sign I needed to downsize my wallet. I took a look at this wallet guide and I am not sure I can go as small as this mini slim card case, but maybe I could start with one size down from what I have or go right to a small compact style. I think I am going to go small and see how it goes!
