The first day of fall and the weather is not cooperating this year. It has been warm and humid here in New York City, more Summer than the crisp, cool temps of Autumn. I am not ready for tights, heavy coats and making sure I have a pair of gloves in my bag, so I am happy as it is. Fall makes me think of apples, cinnamon and caramel baked into a scrumptious cake, tart or muffin. To get in the mood, I went searching for yummy recipes that had all three ingredients and found Trisha Yearwood’s Fresh Apple Cake with Caramel Glaze, pictured below. How yummy does that look?? The caramel glaze dripping over the bundt cake is pretty scrumptious! I may have to go apple picking, or to the local grocery store, to give this recipe a go. It got me thinking about all the clothes and accessories that are picture perfect for a weekend to watch the leaves change. I found rust, gold and caramel colored pieces to spice up your wardrobe. Have a wonderful first weekend of Fall!
