Every 14 weeks, or so, I get to the point where I am desperate for a haircut and I think… why not just cut it all off? Then I get in the chair and have my hair cleaned up. Does this ever happen to you? You think you want a change but, you don’t actually do it? Playing it safe and sticking with what you know. I think this can be true in so many areas of life, not just a haircut. I know why I am playing it safe and keeping my hair pretty much the same. The shorter my hair goes, the harder it is to control the frizzy, messy curls. I like it to be smooth, straight with a little bit of body and I remember when I was pregnant with one of our kids, I cut all my hair off and it was a big mistake. Instead of being easier and making me feel better, it was harder to manage and I felt large, frumpy and the short style just accentuated it. So as I sit here planning my next hair cut, as usual I have left it to the moment when my hair is driving me crazy, I wonder.. should I take it up above my shoulders or go even further to a cheek grazing bob? Or will I stay in my comfort zone and get a trim? I think I know what my mother would say I should do…but what do you think? Is it time to make a change.. or not?

PS. While on the subject of change, you will notice the blog getting a few changes of its own over the next few weeks… I hope you like the final look!
Ridge, i really like the top left and bottom right looks. You could rock those with ease. As a matter OF fact im in the process oF growing mine out for a similar look!
Thank you Nancy – I like those too! I can’t wait to see what you look like! I think of you with very short hair..:-) xxRidgely
First, let me say i really enjoy yourblog! I have gotten several items because yoi suggested them and have been very happy! As for your hair, i always think that hair grows so try something, if you want. A few years bAck i went chin length and i love it – but i have straight, smooth hair. since it sounds like you Keep thinking of it, why not try jUst 2″ shorter? You have great bone structure so i think it would look great on you.
Do it! I think it Would look great on you! Just saw kaTie hOlmes cut her hair. You need to use the right products to avoid the frizz! I wouLd love to cut my hair ( which Is very long) but mine is very thiCk and wavy aNd cutting it would definitely make it curlier.
I thiNk yours will look great in a more SOPHISTICATED bob!
Cant waut to see it!!!!
Top left and bottom right would look fantastic on you. Products and the correct blow drying techniques [when you want it perfect] will give you that sophisticated and polished look you want. Go for it!
Yes – Those are the two I am considering.. and I totally agree, .I have to get the right products and techniques! Thank you for your support!! xxRidgely
I have the same…curls + frizz + live in FL (bad combination)!! Try a keratin treatment. it really helps.
Good idea! I need to get the cut first and see if I actually take the plunge.. eeeek! xxRidgely
