Outlander on Starz

Last Summer I started reading The Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon (see post here) and was swept away with the characters, historical fiction, visual imagery and romantic story line. I could not put it down and considering the seven book series is a whopping 7125 pages you know it is a great book!

Imagine my excitement when I heard the first episode of the series is coming to TV! Outlander on Starz premieres this Saturday, August 9th in the US. I took a look at the schedule and looks like there are 8 episodes (that repeat every week after their initial release) running through Saturday, September 27th. I do not think you will have had to read the books to enjoy the series. If the previews are any indication, the scenery alone should be mesmerizing, not to mention some of the characters (ahem..), plus plenty of bodice ripping and war scenes to keep your attention.
