On Fridays I like to stroll through Union Square Greenmarket in New York City, it is a little detour on my walk to the office, but it is so worth it. It is sensory overload with so many fresh fruits, vegetables, breads and flowers. This past Friday the flower stand caught my eye and I bought these dahlia’s to put with some of my flea market finds from Brimfield.
I bough the pink and orange fabric, which was originally a curtain panel that I made into a table cloth, for $20 and the wire glass holder for $10 (a bargain down from the $12 it was priced at!). I scrounged around for some clear bottles and viola a centerpiece was born.
I have been cheered by these bright and happy colors all weekend, especially on Sunday when it was dark, damp and dreary. Happy Monday!

Great centerpiece. It would be so much fun if you would take photos at the Green Market so we can experience it through your eyes(lenses). That’s for us readers who don’t get to NYC very often and would love to see what’s happening.
What perfect color coordination! Love the huge dahlias!
