I am officially in the mood for Christmas! I set my table for our annual girls Christmas dinner where we exchange $5 and under presents (yes, it is possible to find really good presents for $5 if you look and take advantage of sales throughout the year!). I have to ask the group, but I think it is now going on 14 years! I was inspired by my vintage plaid tablecloth to have fresh evergreen and silver decorations. Here is a sneak peek:
To make my centerpiece, I used a low footed mercury bowl. I cut two Wet Foam Blocks to fit in the bowl and then soaked them in the sink for about 10 minutes. I placed the wet blocks back in the bowl and started to arrange the evergreen branches I salvaged from the Fireman Christmas Tree Sale. I cut the branches in easy to use pieces and stuck them into the foam to create a loose and simple arrangement. I placed glittery Silver Pine Cones randomly in the evergreens. Once I placed the bowl on my table I took a few more branches to place around the base and added several more pine cones.
Ladies, if you see this post, I am looking forward to a fun, festive and sparkly evening!
A beautiful table setting and your mercury glass bowl is fabulous.
Beautiful!!!
Beautiful: elegant in a very nice way. Love the bowl with the greens and then some sparkle. Enjoy the party… what a great idea! I may have to start something like that here!!!
