On my 49th birthday, I made a wish to myself that I would do everything I could to get in shape and be the healthiest I could be for my 50th birthday. I have a wonderful loving family, an amazing career, and this blog that has been a way to be creative, work on my photography and share my passions. What I was not doing was taking care of myself and I was not happy in my body. I have been a yo-yo dieter my whole adult life and exercise, the one thing that should be a priority, was the easiest thing to blow off. One month after my birthday, 12 weeks ago, I started a new healthy lifestyle program and have stuck to it. I have finally found a way that works with my crazy schedule to take off the weight, keep it off and I am exercising everyday. It is not easy and I have not figured it all out, but it is working for me and I plan on sticking with it past that big birthday and beyond. I started to feel so good, that I am now coaching other women (and a few men) and that feels even better. I never knew how much I would enjoy helping others change their lives and get healthy.

Hi DeDe – That’s the hard part.. right now I am wearing the same few things over and over. I am having my closet review this week – so I am hoping Alison can help me see what works on me and what needs to be tossed, altered, etc. I cant buy all new clothes – but I do love the idea of having a capsule Wardrobe – a few things I love and rotate.
