I have been finding myself wanting to read more and more these past few months. I am sure it has a lot to do with our crazy times and wanting to escape into a wonderful story. When I looked at my GoodReads, I have read 23 out of my goal of 24 books for 2020. I am pretty happy with that number! Some were easy reads – like a romance from Debbie Macomber, but hey, it counts! I didn’t do as well in 2019. Do you use GoodReads? I like how I can mark off when I finished a book, add to the list of what I want to read, go back and search what I have read so I don’t re-read unless I want to. 🙂

In this roundup, there are lots of new releases and best sellers on my wish list. I seem to be drawn to mysteries (I love a good series), thrillers, the odd romance, and witchcraft. I have been searching for a travelogue ever since I started and put down See You In The Piazza: New Places to Discover in Italy. It is a really good travel guide and would be great if I was planning a trip to Italy, but since that doesn’t seem to be happening, I am going to shelve it until that is possible.
So instead – I want to read The Seine: The River That Made Paris which is listed as a travel guide but sounds like it includes enchanting stories of people and places. I will let you know!
I loved Deborah Harkness’ All Souls Trilogy, books about witches and vampires, so much that I have read them several times. This makes me excited to read The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, which sounds like it will be an adventure over time and plenty for the imagination!
Don’t forget you can always use your library card to get FREE books (and audible versions) on your Kindle with the Libby App. If you aren’t sure what that is, you can read all about it here. I also LOVE the KindleUnlimited program that lets me read so many books for $10 per month!
As always – please leave a comment with any new books you are loving so that my community can have more titles to choose from! Thank you!
