It all started with a cookie..

When I started this blog, almost four years ago, I did not know where the journey would take me or how much I would love sharing and working on this blog.  I remember telling my family I was starting a blog and they weren’t sure what that meant.  I was not too sure either, but I have slowly found my voice and a vision for this space. My one objective and promise to myself was to only share what I really believed in and if I was not feeling inspiration to step back until I was feeling inspired.  What I did not anticipate was how much fun it was to get comments and feedback from my readers.  I can’t tell you how cool it is to see my subscribers and viewers grow in numbers.  In the last few months I wanted to challenge myself with a new platform and moved my site to WordPress.  I wanted more options behind the scenes to make what you see more sophisticated and user friendly. Just like our homes need a fresh coat of paint after several years of wear and tear, my blog needed a fresh face too.  I have been working with Shari of Little Blue Deer to help me re-design and update her original design for Ridgely’s Radar.  I can tell you that I am not the easiest of clients, as I am a stickler for detail and wanted to see everything in multiple colors and fonts! To give you an idea of what I was thinking, I have put together a mood board of colors and images to show you my inspirations.

This is the initial launch of the new design and we are still tweaking the pages.  I have a feeling it will always be evolving as I want to continue to learn new ways to make this a resource and guide for you.
