Ingredients
1boneless beef chuck roast2-1/2 pounds
1can14-1/2 ounces diced tomatoes, undrained
1medium onionchopped
1/4cupwhite vinegar
3tablespoonstomato puree
1tablespoonpoppy seeds
1bay leaf
2-1/4teaspoonssugar
2teaspoonsDijon mustard
2garlic clovesminced
1/2teaspoonsalt
1/2teaspoonground ginger
1/2teaspoondried rosemarycrushed
1/2teaspoonlemon juice
1/4teaspoonground cumin
1/4teaspoonground turmeric
1/4teaspooncrushed red pepper flakes
1/8teaspoonground cloves
Hot cooked egg noodles
Instructions
Place roast in a 5-qt. slow cooker. Mix all remaining ingredients except noodles; pour over roast. Cook, covered, on low until meat is tender, 7-9 hours.
Discard bay leaf. If desired, skim fat and thicken cooking juices. Serve pot roast with noodles and juices.
