I am Looking to Add a Little Sparkle to My Ears

I am looking for a little sparkle to add to my ears..,something bright, white, silver, soft gold and not too long. Something versatile, that I can wear to work or out at night.  A departure from studs and gold hoops.  I really like how on on Net-a-Porter you can see them on models and really make a decision by seeing their size, length and how the fall from the ear.  So much better than a still shot.  So many pretty options.. I need to narrow it down, which one(s) do you like?

Ridgely Brode is looking for a little sparkle to add to her ears and shares 10 drop earrings that might work on her blog Ridgely's Radar.

Have you Heard of a Scarf Necklace?

I had never heard of a scarf necklace, at least not until I saw someone wearing one.  It is a very cool concept and, if you are into big bold necklaces like I am, you may want to check out Mignonne Gavigan.  Being that my daily uniform involves a tank top and blazer, these necklaces will be the perfect accessory to dress up and decorate my otherwise minimal look.  Each one is prettier and more interesting then the next, I love the mixing of beads, sequins, fringe and fabric.  And the earrings are really cool too. Take a look and let me know what you think..

Look-alikes: Tassel Earrings

I have been eyeing the long beaded earrings from Rebecca de Ravenel but they are always sold out! So I started looking for alternatives that have the same feel and found a bunch of pretty options here.  Happily, I fell into these from BaubleBar that are budget friendly and I like better than many of the more expensive ones.  Knowing that these wouldn’t be something I wear everyday, I am leaning towards the must version..

Frayed Jeans

Did you see my step-by-step guide: how to fray your jeans ?  I am so happy I took the plunge and frayed my jeans. I might not have cut them short enough but I am glad I erred on the side of caution and went a little longer. I feel like they will start to fray more and after a few washes will be the perfect length.  It was the perfect way to fix a favorite pair of bootcut jeans that was just a little too short.  I have worn them all the time and know they will just get better the more I wear them.  Next I am going to go after a pair of my white jeans!

Look-alikes: Arch Hoop Earrings

You may remember that I posted recently about wanting to add a pair earrings to my collection that were not studs and that would be a little update to my look (see post here about drop earrings).  I have had my eye out for flattering styles that would be easy for me to throw on and have come across long arched hoop earrings. Have you seen these before?  I have not. I like that they are a chic, elegant style that works with my hair up or down.  I like both of my selections, but my budget is leaning towards the Asha pair (they come in two sizes) and I like that the ball detail makes them a little more special than just the plain metal version. What do you think? Have I discovered a new trend??

What to Wear on a Hot Summer Night

It has been so hot and it doesn’t seem to be cooling off.  I am looking for a light weight, loose dress that packs a punch.  I think this pink dress does just that! If pink is not for you there is this pretty white version. I love that either of them can be worn to a very casual or dressy event just by changing up the accessories. If the heat sticks around, I am thinking flats are easy for those hot, humid nights and if I needed to dress it up I would wear these comfortable heels. I just discovered this MAC look in a box at the Nordstrom Early Access Sale, it has just what you need for a fresh, natural tanned face and with the pouch you can touch up on the go!
