I am obsessed with pouches. I love the flat ones that I can tuck into my tote and double as a clutch. I use pouches to get organized in my tote, around the house, car and when traveling!
Who else loves pouches?
Do you remember the great zip pouches from LeSportsac? There used to be a store around the corner from our apartment in New York and they were also client. I had so many pouches in the best colors and fabrics. I think they got me into organizing with pouches.
Now I have all kinds of pouches from nylon, sail cloth, canvas, raffia, and waterproof in a variety of sizes and shapes.

There are so many uses for pouches! Let me count the ways..
- Store all your cords! I use these clarity clutches because they are flat and I can see inside them. They are perfect to stand upright in my tote when I travel. LOVE THEM! and they make great presents. Well, all pouches make great presents.
- Receipts and Business cards – I like to put all my receipts and business cards in a envelope pouch or zippered pouch so they don’t fill up my wallet
- Corral your everyday makeup -I have a pouch for lipgloss, balm and makeup palette so I can easily find them in my tote. I also have one for my brushes that is washable.
- Reading and Sunglasses – Some of the cases are huge and bulky, others I have lost, so I have a pouch for my glasses.
- Travel Essentials – I keep a pouch for travel documents, first aid and another for medicines
- Wallet on the Go – When I don’t want to bring my large wallet, a small wallet pouch is perfect. It is also great when traveling to keep local currency separate from you regular money.
- Snacks and Lite Bites – The reusable zipper pouches (like these and these) are great for snacks, sandwiches and storing food.
- Waterproof Pouch for the beach and water – Pouches are great for the beach or on the water so you don’t get your phone or other essentials wet. I gave these personalized pouches to my family on a recent vacation and I am ordering a few of these for gifts (and maybe one for me 😀). Stash your wet bathing suitss in one so you don’t get everything else wet.
- Gym Gear – Stash your small gym items fitness bands, jump rope and small weights in a pouch. Use another one for your small toiletries and heart rate monitor.
- Car Accessories – I like to have a pouch for extra cords, car chargers, etc. and another hand wipes, sanitizers for in the side pocket so we aren’t searching around and it is neat and tidy.
- Go from Day to Night! This was a big one for me when I was commuting into the city for work. I carried a tote (one of my favorites is this naghedi tote that comes with a matching pouch) and then if I had a dinner at night, I would check my tote at the restaurant and use my pouch. So much better than lugging a tote around.
I am sure I missed a few good ideas for pouches, but there are countless ways to use pouches around the house, in the car, for kids and on the go! Below you will find lots of different style so that you can get everything organized!
