What a Day at the Beach!

Wow! It couldn’t have been a more beautiful day!  With temperatures in the 60’s we went down to our local beach and enjoyed the sunshine.  It was just what we needed, the sun warming us as we enjoyed the view.  I would love if it could be like this every day!  I broke out my white jeans and threw on this long topper to keep me warm.  It is so soft and cozy, perfect in the shade and was just the right weight for today.  I didn’t want the day to end!  I hope you are enjoying your long weekend!

Weekend Casual on a Bright Day

Last weekend the light was gorgeous and the sun was streaming into my bedroom.  I wanted to capture my new look, but no one was home to take my pictures.. So I took out my remote and tried to do it myself. EEEK.  It is not easy trying to take your own picture with a manual setting on the camera and trying to run back and forth to see how it looks.  I am actually happy they turned out a little blown out – better on my fine lines and circles!  🙂 . Maybe I should make that my new style!

I am loving my new cozy sweater and yes, it is brown!  I usually wear an oversized, mens basic crew sweater, so it is nice to have a figure flattering and more stylish alternative.  It give me a waist and is long enough to cover the hips.  I just bought these J Brand skinny cargos in a size, wait for it.. 28!, and I love them! Best pair of pants ever!  I am so glad the gals in my office told me I had to go give J Brand a try, they really are worth the price!

Nothing is better than being comfortable and stylish on a casual weekend! Ridgely Brode shows how she does it on her blog Ridgely's Radar.

How About a New Look to Wear on the Weekend

I am looking for a little weekend inspiration and I have grey jeans on my mind. I have been on a hunt for a pair with a little opening at the ankle, not a huge flare but a gap for sure. I don’t want them ripped or shredded throughout the legs, a little fraying is perfect so that I can go from a casual run around look to a more dressier look at night.  Speaking of which, if you want to change it up, layer the sweater with this pleated cuff blouse or for a night out add this lace pleated tee or throw on a blouse like this bell sleeve blouse in a fun color or a classic black and lose your boots for a high heel pump.

Looking for a new look for the weekend, Ridgely Brode picks a grey palate with black and blue accents on her blog Ridgely's Radar.

Seeing Pink for Valentine’s Day

I am channeling pink this year and am trying to add more to my wardrobe.  With Valentine’s Day on the horizon, I think a few pink accessories will give a little pop of color to my very neutral palate. You wont’t believe how reasonably priced the pouches are.. High and low at its best!

Nothing is more fun than Pink and Ridgely Bride is looking for accessories in the pretty shade on her blog Ridgely's Radar.

If You Really Want to Know, It’s All About Dark Chocolate

If you really want to know what I would like for Valentine’s Day, I will give you one BIG hint and it is from See’s Candies. I don’t need a dozen roses, white or pink for me if you are curious, a gift card to a Spa (see below for discount!) is always a great idea, a dinner out would be very welcome, but a nice big box of dark, nuts and chews would be my favorite present of all.  See’s Candies are the best and a very rare treat…

Guess what Ridgely Brode, blogger behind Ridgely's Radar, would like for Valentines Day? A box of Dark Chocolates from See's Candies!

I am looking for a little sparkle to add to my ears..,something bright, white, silver, soft gold and not too long. Something versatile, that I can wear to work or out at night.  A departure from studs and gold hoops.  I really like how on on Net-a-Porter you can see them on models and really make a decision by seeing their size, length and how the fall from the ear.  So much better than a still shot.  So many pretty options..
