Last night I was in a hurry to get ready, washed my hair and mid blow dry.. my FAVORITE hairdryer (and only hairdryer!) fizzled out. It started to make the most horrific wrenching noise, began to smell like smoke and then proceeded to stop working. EEEK! Not the best time to be without a hairdryer.. but at least i got the top done.
I have been using my Super Freak Hairdryer for years.. maybe 10? It has been amazing and it was recommended by my hairdresser. She still uses the brand and goes through them regularly with all the hair drying she does. I put up a question on Instagram to see what everyone loved for their hairdryer and I got several responses.
Guess Which Hairdryer My Instagram Friends Picked?
- Dyson Hair Dryer – WOW! it was almost unanimous.. almost every single person said Dyson! It is expensive and they all said “worth the splurge”! And the Airwrap got big marks too!
- The Revlon One-Step Dryer was the runner up with a lot of mentions.
- Rusk Super Freak is still on my list. I would nominate the Super Freak if you want a really good blow dry for thick, frizzy hair. It is a contender for sure and I have loved it for as long as it has been doing my hair.
I am not sure if I can make the plunge on the Dyson …. Seriously, It is $400! Gulp! But I am thinking hard about it because I trust my pals on this!!
Talking favorites, I have to say, I still love my Velcro rollers when I want to have a smoother more professional looking style without going to the hairdresser. And another MUST HAVE is a shower cap! I do not wash my hair daily and I put it on anytime I shower. 🙂
I am sure I missed something, but I included many of my favorite hair tools in the image and slider below! Let me know what you love and you can’t live without! Curious minds want to know!
I have very fine, thin hair and for the past several years I have been dealing with hair lost caused by medication. I started saving my money at the beginning of the lockdown last March to purchase a Dyson. I purchased the Dyson Pro system, which has become one of my favorite appliances. There is a learning curve in how to best use the system. but it creates a beautiful blowout, it helping me with breakage and limpness. My hairdresser thinks I am having more hair growth and volume. I am very careful about how much I invest in these products, purchasing only what I need and this means I can invest in better hair and skincare products. I have been enjoying your blog so much over the past year. your positive attitude and practical look has been past of my morning coffee ritual. I am making the cookie recipe you posted recently:however, I plan on substituting dried cherries for the cranberries. I am looking forward to these treats to share with my friends for Valentine”s Day Thank you.
