5 Things in My Beauty Bag | 09

I am in Florida enjoying Spring Break with my family and I want to be sun kissed and natural while at the beach.  I am loving my new Morroconoil products that I brought along for this trip, in particular the sunscreen and hydrating mask (I am still using these products to keep my hair tamed). It feels good to just throw on a fresh perfume, a soft lipstick and really good mascara for a night out.

Are You Ready to Wear Shorts?

The weather in the Northeast is teasing us.. one day it’s 60 degrees and the next it’s in the 20’s.  Then we had Daylight Savings sneak up on us! How did that happen so quickly? We are off to Florida for Spring Break and all I can think about is wearing a bathing suit, shorts, lightweight dresses and sandals!  I can’t wait!  To get in the mood, I rounded up some really cute shorts that work for the beach, to cruising around during the day and then paired with a pretty top for a night out.  I added in some really great wicker bags.. how fabulous is the circular one?? OMG!! I am dying! I really like the first look and found this One Shoulder Top, this bow back top, this blue detailed one and this seersucker (!) in blue that would look cute with shorts.

With Spring nipping at our heels, Ridgely Brode finds several cute shorts (and wicker bags) on her blog Ridgely's Radar to get us ready!

top to bottom: Off The Shoulder Top and Cotton Midi Shorts  /  Jill Tote  /  Angela Clutch  (this bamboo clutch is also very  useful) / Floral Lace Shell and  Floral Lace Shorts  / Fluted Sleeve Blouse and  Devin Walking Shorts  /  Victoria Circular Wicker Tote

How Fabulous are these Woven Bags?

How fabulous are these woven beach bags?  I like each one better than the next.  With the striped woven insert that you can pop out and tie to keep your belongs intact it is a winner in my books!  I would use them in the city almost as much as at the beach, perfect for a night out or running errands during the day.

Backless Loafers are Trending

What do you think?  Are you liking the fur lined backless loafer that is HUGE right now? I can’t seem to wrap my head around spending $995 for something I would wear as a slipper, but if you check out these street style photographs you will see they are being worn just about everywhere. Maybe it is the fur plus that they are backless that is throwing me off? Turns out it is a big trend without the fur and I wanted to see if any caught my fancy.  I found 14 pairs of backless loafers that are not as expensive (some are very easy on the wallet) and got me to thinking I might be able to embrace this trend.  What about you?  Will you be wearing backless loafers?

Backless Loafers are all the trend! Ridgely Brode find 14 pairs of backless loafers and shares them on her blog Ridgely's Radar.

Taking a Coffee Break in My Favorite Pieces

I had a round of my yearly doctor appointments last Friday and the weather was gorgeous!  I was able to meet my husband afterwards for a coffee and we went to the local butcher shop to see what we could make for dinner.  It was nice to spend a little time enjoying the weather and each other instead of racing around like we normally do.  I wore a few of my favorite things, that made it through the rigors of my closet clean out, and my new cat eye sunglasses.  I love buying new sunglasses, they never disappoint and can change up your look! I am looking forward to more Spring like temperatures and playing hooky with my husband!
